Case Study

196 MW of tracker solar, delivered on schedule in rural North Carolina.

  • Capacity 196 MWDC
  • Location Halifax County, NC
  • Completed 2025
  • Scope Full EPC

The challenge

A rural site with complex logistics and a non-negotiable commercial-operation date. Thousands of acres, miles of medium-voltage collection, and a tight weather window to complete sitework before tracker installation began. Every phase had to hand off cleanly to the next — with no second chances at schedule.

The approach

As EPC of record, PPC managed civil partners through sitework and self-performed the mechanical, electrical, and commissioning scopes. An in-house engineering and pre-construction team sequenced the site plan around weather contingencies, and PPC's QA/QC crews verified torque, string continuity, and inverter health as each block came online.

The outcome

American Beech energized on time in 2025 and is now operational, generating clean power equivalent to the annual needs of tens of thousands of homes. The project reinforced PPC's reputation as a single-source EPC capable of delivering utility-scale installations at pace.
